Clementine Oomes

The work of Clementine is vulnerable and rough at the same time. Thin lines with pen and ink and coarser parts with deep black paint or some ink, which the paper appears to have been affected.

As a kind of extra skin care thin semi-transparent paper, and glue give a layer of blur. Protection, and window patch at the same time.

In other works, the various layers of little papers create more depth. This repetition of drawing on drawing creates a three-dimensional wax of scales. Recurring elements in her work are internal contradictions; destruction, waiting and indefinable isolation. The artist took her training at the Royal Academy in The Hague
