Is a photograph fiction and reality at the same time?
In her collages she examines the relation between reality and fiction. she use pictures which refer to our collective conscience. Paulette operate, scalp and mould these pictures to a new whole. A whole that only exists from fragmentations of our so-called reality.
By declining reality, deform and compose differently Paulette actually create a new reality, in which time and space melt with each other, to fictitious landscapes.
This manipulated reality offers an opening to another world and invites to a discovery excursion to a subcutaneous reality, her fictitious reality.
